In 2005, Gene Behler, SHS Class of 1956, wrote a tribute to Sycamore titled "Tribute to a Small Town -- Sycamore, Illinois".  It applies to all of us who grew up in Sycamore in the 50's.

1.  What businesses were located between Bergie's and Anderson Bros./Rosene's?

2.  Where was the "Doll House" located?  A Winner - MIKE BAUER.  Mike reminds us that the Doll House, located over Well's Drug Store, was owned by his mother, Virginia Bauer, and an aunt, Helen Nelson.  They sold and repaired dolls.  Mike had to work there some afternoons, but didn't sell many dolls.

3.  What were the names of the three downtown drugstores?  THE THREE WERE FLORIAN'S, WELLS AND HABERLE'S.  The Winner - MERLE CARTER.

4.  Name the four hardware stores that were in the downtown area.

5  How many barber and beauty shops were there on State Street, between Maple and California Streets?

As each question is correctly answered, a new question will take its place.
